As a passionate and driven attorney, you can not only trust Onik to answer your calls during late-night hours (which he, for some reason, enjoys), but also to work on your case until you reach a favorable outcome.
Onik has received multiple awards and distinctions in law school. As a graduate of Southwestern Law School, Onik performed well in his tort classes, earning a Witkin award for the highest grade in the Defamation, Privacy, Publicity and Celebrity law course. He was a staff member for the Southwestern Law Review Honors program and a fellow of the American Board of Trail Advocates (ABOTA). As a fellow of ABOTA, Onik worked with attorneys from Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, Trester LLP and Cheong, Denove, Rowell, & Bennett; he also received invaluable mentorship from Los Angeles Superior Court judges.
Onik gained litigation experience during law school. He worked at Kaplan, Kenegos, & Kadin and gained experience in personal injury and business litigation. In the criminal field, Onik worked with multiple Los Angeles Superior Court judges, and with the Central Trials Unit and Preliminary Hearings Unit of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
Onik is also committed to public service in his academic and work experience. Onik helped with Project LEAD—a law-related education program focused on teaching children about the legal and social consequences of juvenile crimes. In the spring of 2017 during law school, he also closely worked with the law firm of Munger, Tolles & Olsen, LLP to represent a pro bono client in an appeal before the Board of Immigration Appeals. Onik was successful in overturning the trial court’s decision and giving his client a chance at asylum in the United States. Lately, he was involved in the Los Angeles County Mock Trial Competition, where he was actively engaged in scoring mock trials and giving guidance to middle and high school students. As a result of his efforts, Onik received a public service distinction award from Southwestern Law School.
Onik is an active member of multiple organizations: Los Angles Bar Association, Italian American Bar Association, Century City Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Armenian Bar Association.
In his spare time Onik enjoys snowboarding around the United States and mentoring his fourteen-year-old brother.
