MEET OUR SUPPORT TEAM
A team effort plays a huge part in our success. From the time your phone call is answered, through every step of your case, a very qualified team works together on your behalf.
Mindy has been with the firm for over thirty years, since she was a young girl out of business college. She has literally grown up with the firm. The thing she likes most about this firm is the fact that they truly care about their clients and fighting for the client’s rights. She still finds her job interesting after all these years because of the variety of clients and cases the attorneys handle.
Mindy has been a member of the Girl Scouts of America for 15 years, along with her twin daughters. During this time with the Girl Scouts, she has enjoyed participating in many community service projects.
Her time away from work is spent with her husband training and playing with her black Labrador puppy. She also participates in Yoga, kickboxing and other challenging classes at her gym. Although her job can be quite demanding, family time has always been a priority for her.
Business Development Manager
Lorraine has been with the firm since 1981. She enjoys working here because “we are a plaintiff firm and my job is rewarding because we help people during a difficult time in their life resulting from personal injury claims.” What she likes most about the firm is that everyone, including partners, associates and staff, work together as a team.
Over the years, the firm has participated in a variety of team building activities including skiing and river rafting. Also, the Partners support their employees both professionally and personally.
Currently, Lorraine is a Board Member of the Century City Chamber of Commerce and was named Outstanding Woman of Achievement (2002) by the Century City Chamber of Commerce. She is also a recipient of the President’s Award from the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (1998, 2000 and 2001).
She was a Spokesperson for the American Cancer Society inspired by a personal experience with breast cancer. In May, 2002, Lorraine established The Lorraine Jackson Foundation which provides college scholarships for children who have lost a parent due to breast cancer.
Beverly has been with Cheong, Denove, Rowell & Bennett since 1978. She handles everything from paying bills, preparing records for taxes to tracking the accounting on clients’ cases.
She enjoys boating, skiing and playing with her 5 grandchildren in her time away from work.
Lucy Nañez Dixon
Senior Legal Assistant
Lucy comes to us with a strong background in Plaintiff Litigation. She has a degree in English from Mount St. Mary’s college and a Paralegal certificate from USC Law Center. Lucy’s passions are family, friends, reading, and traveling (16 countries visited at last count).
Now that her travels have brought her to us, she feels she has a home because of the team environment and the firm’s family-oriented atmosphere. She is enjoying the client contact and using her fluency in Spanish in order to assist our clients. She looks forward to many years with our firm.
Senior Legal Secretary
Maria Carlos was a Legal Secretary for 27 years with one firm and has been working with this firm for five years. She enjoys reading, spending time with family, movies and listening to “books on tape” on her commute to and from work.
Jan has over 30 years as a paralegal in many areas of the law, but particularly personal injury. She especially enjoys the challenge of medical malpractice cases where crucial details are often buried in voluminous records as well as the sometimes hectic atmosphere of a team working to get justice for injured plaintiffs.
In her spare time, Jan enjoys travel, reading history books, sporting events (especially NFL games), visiting historical sites and exploring museums, keeping up on current events and world politics and squeezing in the odd round of golf.
Brittni has been with the firm since 2011. Prior to joining the firm, she worked with attorney Michael A.K. Dan for several years. Brittni has earned a Paralegal certificate from West Los Angeles College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University Los Angeles. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, visiting family and volunteering.
Tinisha is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a bachelors degree in legal studies. She received her paralegal certification from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has worked in various areas of law from entertainment to bankruptcy, beginning as a receptionist and working her way up. Tinisha enjoys going to church, reading, traveling, cooking and DIY projects.
CDRB has a family atmosphere unlike any firm she has ever worked in, and everyone cares deeply for the clients. She feels empowered being able to help so many people who stand in need, and looks forward to what the future brings.
Takako “TK” Gregg
TK has recently joined the team with this being her first professional job experience in the legal sector. She graduated from Soka University of America in May of 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Humanities/International Relations. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Japanese. In her spare time, she likes to travel, make music, go to concerts, read and spend time with friends and family.
TK feels so fortunate to be a part of the team here at CDRB because she knows she is working for the kindest people that sincerely care about their clients and their employees.
River rafting is just one of the team building sports enjoyed by the members of the firm Cheong, Denove, Rowell & Bennett.
Cheong, Denove, Rowell & Bennett has the extensive resources to handle the most complex legal matters, yet is small enough to offer individualized service to our clients.
At Cheong, Denove, Rowell & Bennett we believe the more you know, the better choice you will make.
